

Since graduating from AC Arts (3 year Ad. Dip Acting) Ruth starred as Rhapsody for 5 years on Channel 7’s/Nickelodeon’s ‘The Fairies’ (ARIA, Helpmann nominee).
After 3 seasons, 5 DVD specials and 7 national tours she went on to have roles on Netflix’s ‘Going for Gold’, ‘Real Rob’ and ABC’s ‘Prank Patrol’, as well as co-starring in AACTA and Sydney Film Festival winner ‘Welcome To Iron Knob.’
Ruth went on to gain her martial arts instructorships with Sifu Nino Pilla along with his two teachers Guro Dan Inosanto and Ajarn Chai Sirisute, specialising in Bruce Lee’s Jun Fan/Gung Fu Jeet Kune Do, Filipino Martial Arts/Kali/Escrima/Arnis/Silat (empty hand and weaponry) and Muay Thai/Thai Boxing.
She is also a MEAA graded stunt person (SAP), which has seen her take on action/acting roles in Disney’s ‘Nautilus’, ABC’s ‘Wastelander Panda’, AMC’s ‘Firebite’, and with Danny and Michael Philippou in both The Rackaracka ‘Live Stunt Gone Wrong’ and ‘Bring Her Back’ (AACTA winner).
She is a regular action/fight choreographer for the State Theatre Company of South Australia, State Opera South Australia, along with independent companies and schools nationally. This work also saw her working as a Stunt Group Leader on Marvels ‘Thor: Love and Thunder.’
Ruth then completed her Intimacy Coordinator/Director qualifications with HBO Coordinators Alicia Rodis and Claire Warden at IDC International. This has seen her work as IC for ‘Talk To Me’ (AACTA winner), Amazon’s ‘Narrow Road to The Deep North’ (AACTA/Golden Globe nominee), Netflix’s ‘Territory’ (AACTA/Logie nominee) Stans ‘The Tourist’ (AACTA/Logie winner), Amazon’s ‘Tob End Bub’ (AACTA nominee) ABC’s ‘Aftertaste’, AMC’s ‘Firebite’, ‘The Royal Hotel’ (ACCTA nominee), Netflix’s ‘Kangaroo Island’, ‘The Fox’, ‘Diabolic’, ‘Penny Lane is Dead’, ‘Boy on Fire’ (Flickerfest winner), and upcoming ABC series ‘Treasure and Dirt.’
She is a regular Intimacy choreographer for State Theatre Company of South Australia, State Opera South Australia, along with independent companies and schools nationally.
She is also a regular voice over artist for radio, tv commercials and films, and is a proud equity member. She is currently serving as South Australian Equity president as well as the president for the South Australian Performers Committee.
